Problems with GoZ from max

This has been bothering me for a while - but the standard import from max to zbrush seems to go weird.

The move scale often seems broken - as if the model appears so large zbrush can’t shift it. Likewise if I use dynamesh, the model seems locked at a ridiculously dense poly count. A simple 20 poly model will turn to a 3 million one.

Exporting and then importing it as an obj works fine - and exporting it TO max is equally fine. It’s just the importing for models built in max that seems iffy.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried manually exporting to an .obj from Max and then import into ZB?..that’s how I started my last project and after that GoZ seems to work perfectly as far as geometry goes - might just be the initial step that messes things up.

A 1 meter x 2 meter mesh in max is enormous in z brush… (Impossible to use the surface noise)

If I export, for exemple, the startup dog from zbrush to max, this one is really small in max.
