Hi guys!
Im pulling my hair out on this one.
I render out my displacement maps, and they work beautifully. Everything is fine!
Now here is the problem. I render out a bump and a normal map too, using D88 and Normal 16.
First, the D88 maps do nothing in 3ds Max and Mental Ray. I dont understand why. Is there certain settings I should be using to be making bump maps for Max?
Second, I tried to use a normal map as a bump, and I start getting weird artifacting around the areas where there are seams. I checked my UVs, and the map and there is nothing out of the ordinary and my displace works fine…
Perhaps I am approaching this all wrong?
I just want a nice bump map
