Problems with 3dsMax UV's in Zbrush

Hey guys!

Well I’m kinda new to Zbrush/Max Integrations and in the last days I’ve been unable to figure out whats going on with the UV’s when I import an OBJ file (With the “Texture Coordinates” Checkmark On)

There are no errors in my previews UVW Mapping work inside 3dsMax since I really spent my time on it checking for overlapings and stuff. And most important of all, its a finished model that has already been rendered and even exported to Maya and Vue having no problems with the UV’s.

Alright, first the Image where you can see the texture perfectly applied to the model.

Then the messing up when importing them to Zbrush.

If please someone can help me on solving this problem, Thanks!

You might simply have to flip the texture map vertically in ZBrush. This can be done by selecting the texture and pressing Texture > FlipV.

However you could possibly still have overlapping UV coordinates, not in the other programs, but in ZBrush. All UVs for a single texture must be within a 1*1 region of UV space, e.g 0,0 to 1,1. In addition no UV coordinate may be directly on the border of that UV region. For example, a coordinate at precisely 0 on the U axis will cause problems.

Huh man THANKS! I cant believe it was something as simple as that XD.

Thanks a lot!
