Problem with Zsketch 5 point vertice

I relatively new to digital sculpture so please forgive my lack or knowledge and probably incorrect term use.

I am having some trouble with the geometry from a meshes produced with zsketchs. Is there any way to fix, or stop, zsketch from creating vertices that connect 3 or 5 other points ? These little anomalies make it impossible for me to get a smooth mesh and are quite the piss off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I don’t know if there is a way to stop it. But, as for the little points you can’t smooth, hold down shift+LMB on said little point, start smoothing and let go of shift while still holding LMB and continue maneuvering around the little point with the mouse( still holding LMB ).

Muddpitt gave the best answer, but I’ll add that depending on your needs (which can greatly vary), in the case of a plan to animate the character and/or taking the model into another 3d program, you might want to retopologize at this point. This gives you the opportunity to place those poles in the places where they will do the least damage, such as naturally pinched areas or completely flat areas. In most modeling situations they can’t be avoided entirely, of course.

If you plan to keep your model just within Zbrush and use it for illustration purposes, enough subdivisions should make these poles less and less an issue.
