Problem with sharp edges or lines in displacement map

Hi,

I have some strange sharp edges or lines in the displacement I exported from the Multi Map exporter. For the most part the displacement looks great, but on what seems to be polygons close to an sharp feature, there are visible edges. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I am rendering in 3ds Max using Redshift.
