Problem with masking

Hello
I am new to Zbrush and I am having a problem. I am trying to mask only 1 side of a thin Leaf and when i mask the top
it will also mask the bottom. Is there a way to mask only one side, I am having the same problem in polypaint.
Symmetry is not on, so I do not know why this is happening. Can someone help?

I recommend to have the BackfaceMask button in your interface.

You can do it by this quick steps:

  1. Enabling customize in Preferences->config->Enable Customize.
  2. Ctrl+Alt and grab the BackfaceMasking button from: Brush->Auto Masking-> BackfaceMask, to anywhere you like in your UI.
  3. Deactivate Enable customize button and press Store config

Hope this helps

Also, keep in mind that BackfaceMask does not work with Rectangle, Circle, Curve and Lasso mask strokes.
