Problem with making tree in zbrush.

Hello everyone,

So i’m not totally new to zbrush, I have no problem making, grass, wall, rock, mushroom (…) but I have some huge problem with tree.

So i will explain my workflow.

First of ive made a trunk in one piece with my tree stump.

2: I have made some premade branch which i thinking -Hey that’s will be less job in sculpting later on. I place my branch to make a confier tree.

3: When the placement is finish i merge my trunk with my branch to make ONE MERGED TREE.

4: I dynamesh it in something like 700,000 to 1,5 mil poly.

5: I smooth and sculpting all my MERGED TREE.

6: When i’m happy about the sculpting I’m ready for the zremesh / decimation because my mesh is for game.

7: So the problem is here. If i zremesh my branch going crazy and become deformed. If i decimate to 35,000 poly my branch is all ok but my uv is pretty **** top.

8: I do the project all and the decimate and zremesh.

9: So now i’m pretty confused how can i get a great result with that… look at the photo…

So example if I don’t add the branch and just got my trunk the uv is great and I easily texturing with quixel (just a quick test)

But what’s your opinion for adding branch? Only some Alpha card? no actual 3d branch?

Finally I found my solution by myself ! All works perfectly now.
