Hello everyone!
I have a problem with dynamesh resolution I hope you can help me with.
When I remesh it doesn’t take the resolution I set so all the geometri softens and loses its detail.
Has this hapend to sombedy else?
Thanks!

Look in Tool > Preview and make sure your mesh fills the whole Preview window or bigger. If it doesn’t, increase the size in Deformation sub-palette.
Thanks a lot man, i´ll try that.
it works!! thanks a lot again!!
No problem! Glad you got it sorted.
Same here, my resolution slider seems to be doing nothing
Can you turn any object into Dynamesh? or should you always start with a Dynamesh tool?
If your resolution slider isn’t doing anything, it might be because Dynamesh is waiting for you to do something to the mesh before it will remesh. Put a stroke down first (ie: Smooth a bit somwhere) then Ctrl+drag on canvas to remesh again.
Any object you import can be turned into a Dynamesh. There is no specific “Dynamesh tool”.
Thanks zber2,
I was actually talking about having the slider at, let’s say, 400 then do a change on the mesh, increase the slider to 800 and Ctrl+drag having no remarkable increase on the mesh density.
I don’t know if it’s the correct workflow, but in the middle of a conceptual stage I decided to add something I couldn’t get nuff detail subdividing and decided to go dynamesh way. The problem is that the resolution on a human body alike figure is too low even for general shapes no matter what number is the resolution slider at.
I’ll test the check Tool->Preview and increase the size thing today.
Edit: The error gets quite obvious since I made a dragon with it and having high resolutions resulted in a bit of delay when Ctrl+draggin’ while now is ultra fast even at full res. (because it’s doing no subdivision at all)
Thanks again!

OK, you obviously didn’t understand what I meant. I will do a step by step example to try and clear it up for you and to show you that it’s not broken.
I’ll try that approach, because on the demo video, that abstract concept of a girl figure with some kind of wings and all, they got a lot more of detail than I get using dynamesh.
thank you very much!!
