Problem with deleting subtool

Hello theare.
I did a search in the forum, found a similar thread but didint find answer do question.

So, i found that i cand “undo” the deleted subtool… ok, this is very stupid, but it is ok.

The problem is that when i work, i work with polygroups, and in the process i hide/unhide groups, some how with some shortcut combination i delete the subtool i work on
Kill me but i dont know how i do that!
So, can anyone help me by telling me what is the shortcut combination for deleting the current subtool ?
Or atleast what im doing, because i dont know what i do to delete my subtool.

When deleted subtool, theare is nothing to undo… only the spheres/eyes of my model stay…

This is happening couple of time tonight (i didnt had such a problem before), and i am not a everyminute save tooler, so i will be glad if somebody turns on the lightbulb for me…

p.s. sorry for the bad english! English is not my native language!

you’re not deleting the subtool…just messing with the subtool pallet.

to get back your subtools, either hit the “up” arrow on the keyboard a bunch of times (up and down step through your subtools) or go to
tool>subtool>and hit the “up” arrow under the list of subtools.

This only happens when you “ctrl+shift+click” to select a different subtool. If you use the arrows then you never have this problem.

Thanks for the reply man!
Well, hiiting the arrow doesnt help ?!
When the “deletion” happens, in the subtool list ot subtools this subtool is missing, and hitting the arrow isnt helping

Are you a PC or a Mac user? If PC, are you using 3.0 or 3.1?

PC user, using 3.1.

We get the same problem regularly here: shift + ctrl + click combo sometimes deletes the non-active subtools.

Very annoying, particularly because we usually prefer the unhide all polygroups and step down to lowest level before we save our work. Which happily results in loosing all our progress since the last save.

Has there been any solution to this?

Oh, and it’s Win XP 32 bit, 64 bit and Zbrush 3.1 version. So we get the problem on various systems.
