problem whit subdivid mesh and apply detail to it

hi everyone.i creat a character using zsphear and after adabtive skin it , i 7time subdivide it .now i have a model whit 4milion polygon but i cant apply detaill to it .because the detail have’t good Quality so i try to subdivide it more time but zbrush give me an error and it’s:… deleat the subdivid history … but i dont want to delete the history .plz help me .how to chanch this model to an status for add detail to it .

You will have to brake up your model into smaller pieces (more subtools). Very rarely will you see a highly detailed model that has only one subtool. You can use HD Geometry but its still a wise move to plan your sculpts with multiple subtools. If that same model was broken up into 4 subtools, you could have 4 million poly’s per subtool which would now give you 16 million poly’s total.
