Problem when ctrl- tapping to invert mask - deselects mask instead (tablet issue)

Hi.

Just wanting to see if anyone has advice about an issue I’m having regarding using a wacom tablet while inverting masks via Ctrl tapping outside the mesh. The problem is that sometimes the mask will invert, but roughly half the time the mask will deselect instead, as if I had used Ctrl and drag mouse. Which is probably what is happening… it seems that you need to be really pixel precise when ctrl clicking, as any motion will deselect your mask rather than invert it. This is frustrating because I can be very careful while performing this action, and still I will deselect my mask by mistake. Kind of a pain…

Anyone else experiencing this? Or know of a solution?

Try increasing the value in the Preferences>Interface>Click Time slider (in the ‘Click’ section). You can save the new setting by storing the configuration (Shift+Ctrl+i). [The default value is 0.25.]

Thanks for the tip! It was actually Click Distance which needed to be changed. I’ve gone from the default 1 pixel to 10 and things are working great. I was wondering about an option exactly like this one. Will greatly reduce frustration!

I think the default for Click Distance should be 10, so not sure why you had 1. Anyway, I’m glad you’ve got it sorted.

That seems more likely. I don’t remember mucking around with that but may have inadvertently.
