Problem of memory with Decimation

Hi,

I use Decimation and it’s working fine on my PC (vista 64bits, quad core, RAM 8 GB).
I just finished a new model huge in polys (11000K polys). So I decided to use Decimation to lower to 4000K polys, wich is working fine, except if I use “keep uvs”. I have got an error message saying "Not enought memory for…zmesh "

So I can’t keep my uvs on my model. I know Zbrush can’t use my 8GB as it’s a 32 bits software but is there a way to save memory in zbrush in order to keep the uvs?

Thanks
Olivier

Aside from disabling UVs, which you’ve already done, the only thing I know to do is to hit the Compact Mem button right before you do a big, heavy operation. Also, check to see if ZBrush is configured to your system in terms of multithreading and memory useage.

I tried compact mem but nothing change. I guess I have to wait for the next version of Zbrush hoping it can handle a larger amount of polys! Thx anyway
