Hi, I’m having a problem in making new layers in Zbrush 3.1. 
When I click to make a new layer it doesn’t work. Can someone please help me with how to fix this? The reason I want new layers is to store skin pores etc…

Have you previously made layers at a different subdivision level? If so, you must turn them off before you can make a new layer at any other subdivision level.
If that’s not what’s happening, we’ll need more info about your mesh and your steps.
How typical, as soon as I decided to post this rather than finding out other ways it decides to just work? The mesh is just a standard female topology imported from maya, iv sculpted it then added other detail. Layers was refusing to work, but then after I sent that post I clicked like millions times in frustration with it and it worked? Im laughing at the randomness of it. Cheers for your reply though mate, much appreciated.
All of the subtool must also be visible when you try to make the new layer.
