Problem import a file obj fbx

Hi guys, why when i import a mesh in zb if i subdivide it appear voids…i can use the mesh only in the original division, every time that i try to subdivide it i have the same problem…
i make a suit in marvelous designer, export the fbx file, import it in zbrush sito fbx plugin, the mesh look good, but if i subdivide it i have holes…
the same if i import an obj that i can download from internet (freme model) that i sound use how base mesh to start to work?

There are lots of ways to fix this issue, which is common on low poly objects made up of tris and polys of hugely varying sizes. With simple objects you can Crease edges to firm the object up. With a complicated item like your tank, you would probably be best to polygroup parts first and then Crease the groups. Or ZRemesh the object in ZBrush to get a uniform distribution of polys. Sometimes ZRemesher won’t work on geometry it thinks is corrupt, in my experience.
Or you could weld parts on export from the 3D program you made the tank in. Or remesh to all quads before export. Either way the object should then hold together in ZBrush when you subdivide.
