Evening Ladies and Gentlemen!
I’ve been sculpting a mesh for sometime now (base mesh done with zsphere) and thanks to some clumsy moves I’ve utterly destroyed the symetry of the toes and I don’t know how to get it back in order…
I’ve tried several times Resym and Smart Resym with no results but I think I don’t know how to use them efficently…
Do you have an idea?
Is one of the sides good? If so, mask that side and anything else that you want to protect. At level 1 use Smart ReSym. Then step up one level at a time and repeat the deformation at each level.
Sorry for make you repeat once more time…
So I’ve tried to hide the good part to reprojecting it on the other side with no result (Symetry result: 0% Symetry point found etc… etc…).
But, just to know, is it possible to apply a smart resym (or resym) on a part of the mesh or you have to apply it on the whole mesh?
Anyway thanks for your quick reply!
No! Don’t hide: mask!
R
OOOPs! my mistake…
But again no result so far, It’s quite weird…
And dupicate half and sew it in another app also burst my mesh…
I’ve continued to search for a solution for my problem and I’ve found it in a thread of Steve Weber (http://209.132.96.165/zbc/showthread.php?t=45287) :
"Smartresym is not working with every tool in zbrush3 (maybe related to zbrush2 tools as one zbrush2 tool was working but another not)
To solve this problem you need to mask the mesh and leave a small area unmasked which already is symetrical so that when you click on resym your mesh won’t be changed.
After clicking resym the smart resym function is working again."
It may seem weird but it works like a charm!
Anyway thanks to Aurick and Rory_L for their quick answers!!
