Probably simple Solution but I don't find a way to do it

As an example for my problem, I show the following pic:

I have an open irregular tube and want to close the ends spherical without changing the geometrie (No geometrie change is important because it should become a morph-target.
I tried to work with several tools, e.g. “deformation inflate” in combination with radial symmetry, but radial symmetrie doesn’t work correct because of the irregular form of the object.
Is there any way to easy close the ends of the tube (of course with a very small, nearly not seeable whole) so that the ends of the tube look spherical without changing geometry?

convert to dynamesh and append two spheres in the ends

Of course, this is, what I would do, if it would be possible to change the geometry. But as a morph-target, I’m dependent to the actual geometry as I wrote, and can’t change it.

Perhaps an other solution?

  1. Sphereinder3d x=25; y=25; z=100; Tradius=25; TCurve=100; Hdivide = 30 Vdivide=30
  2. Sbend YZ =75
  3. Move the vertices

Sorry for my late answer but I’ve been on holidays.
I know what you mean, but also this is no solution.
The shown object is only an example. And: I Import an open object like the upper one e.g. as an .obj-file from poser and want to close the ends without destroying the polygon-structure.
Ok., I can’t close the Ends completly, because this is only possible by changing the poly-structure.
But I would like to inflate the open ends so far, that they look like closed in a spherical shape at their ends. And then I waant to use the result as a morph-target.

Can you make a sketch of the desired result? What is the maximum number of polygons?
