Well, after picking up the all pieces of my head that were left when it was exploded by Z3’s awesome new tools, I’m trying out a new full model. It’s only been half a day, but the progress makes me quite happy.
Gah! I did it again!

Chipping away at head details. Wasnt too happy with the way the face was just flush with the headpiece, so I recessed it a little too.
I like the style on this last character.
Thank you, it is turning out a little like Moebius-lite.
Last one for tonight, gotta get some sleep and more zbrush in the morning . Messed with the shaders, tweaked the fit of the face in the helmet and tossed on some quick colours.
Think I’m just about done with the head sculpt. Just need to toss in some wisps of hair poking out over the forehead. Then onto the body!
Nice design
Tidied up the head and added some hair at the edges, will probably rework it. Also detailed up the robe, leaving the shoulderpiece as the last big hurdle before colouring. yay!
I really like your style! This would make a killer chess piece.
i am really enjoying this piece, its got real character, love the subtle folds in the dress, hands could use a little work but its coming along solid, i really wanna see this as a finished piece
Excuse the head model, it’s not really the main focus of the post.
After taking a look at Sebcesoir’s work, I tried to duplicate his faked reflections in the eyes. A few hours poking at material properties and…
Not quite right just yet, but I’m pretty sure that now it’s just a matter of getting the right eyeball shape and a decent reflection map.

I am so regretting not seperating out the shoulderpiece into its own subtool right now. Hopefully that wont screw me over too badly when getting her into her posed position.
Can’t you still seperate it? Mask off the shoulder piece then create a mesh extraction. You may want to sculpt the body’s shoulders normally then. But you’ll have a seperate piece for the shoulders . The extraction would create a thickness to the piece that wouldn’t be needed. But you could hide the underside polys and delete them.
By the way, excellent concept! I really like the overall feel of it.!
I could and probably will do that if I cant get it to work right as it is. It just means more work than if I’d been smarter about it at the start. Laziness bites me in the ass again, haha!
And a quick zdoodle for tonight. “Why does this keep happening to me?”, he seems to be asking.
I love this newest one. Just wanted to say that.
Those eyes really give life to the character! I simply love them! You wouldn’t mind sharing some techniques on how to make eyes like that, or even better, the material
You have some nice models as well. Good sculpting!
Greetings
Henning
I used the default ReflectedMap material as a base. Turned off spherised since I was using a spherical hdri image. Turned off the default spec, ambient and fixed the diffuse levels, then played around with the additive and subtractive reflection levels and the curves.
Practice at making Zsphere and topology subtools. Unfortunately the girl’s ended up with a ridiculous hat as a result. Sorry.
^^ It’s one of the Prince of All Cosmos’ cousins!
I really like the priestess, especially the details on her robes.
And another doodle, though I dont think this one will go any further without a retopoing first.
