Previewing normal maps in ZBrush?

Hi all,
just wondering if anybody could advise me how to preview a normal map on a model in ZBrush?
I can’t figure out how to render the normal map.
For that matter, I’m not quite sure how to apply it to the model in the first place (I’m new to ZBrush!!).
Thanks.

Zbrush can create normal maps, but it lacks the ability to actually preview them on the model. For that you’ll need your target renderer (model viewer, game engine, 3d application, etc). It’s actually better to use them for previewing the normal map anyway since different programs calculate their tangent basis differently (so even if zbrush did have a previewer, a result that looks perfect in zbrush might not look correct once applied in Unreal 4 or Maya). Plus you’d get to take advantage of the actual shader you plan on using as well for additional material properties.

Thanks Cryrid.
