I have vendors rendering normal maps in Zbrush 3.1 using Zmapper with 3DSMax7_TangentSpace_BestQuality.zmp. One of the setting in a slider that “Presmooths normals on UV seams”. I do not see any way to match this setting in Zbrush 4R2. Smooth UV does not do it. The setting in Zbrush 3.1 gives you smooth seams in your normal map even if you loaded it as a diffuse map. Odd for a normal map, but it is what our game engine is looking for. Does anyone know how to get this effect in Zbrush 4R2?
