preferences to set high poly count

I just bought a computer with 8gb of ram. How do I set Zbrush 4 so I can get a poly count in the millions every time I start Zbrush?

My preferences don’t seem to don’t seem to keep in Zbrush4. Everytime I start Zbrush I have to set Mem Compact to 4096 and MaxPolyPerMesh to 35. When I set these settings Zbrush tells me these setting are unstable.

Are these good settings? Is there a way to get Zbrush to remember these settings? When I set these settings.

After your settings : Preferences > Config > Store Config

And ZBrush will remember

Ah, thank you for replying Michel, I tried that, too. The Mem Compact setting is stored but the MAxPolyperMesh setting doesn’t get stored at 35. It goes back to 21.

Are these good settings to sculpt in? Are there better setting?
