posing zsphere character...

So I’ve built a character in z-spheres so I can pose it later… But when i move the character I lose all the progress I’ve made sculpting. Is there a way to avoid this other than making it a polymesh and creating a rig?

(1) I know I use to have the same problem. If you go under “Morph Target” and click “Store Morph Target”(when you have adaptive skin previes NoT activated… and after you made your sculpt changes). Then it should retain the sculpt even after moving the Zspheres.

(2) You can make the Zspheres’ adaptive skin into a mesh. Then you can take the Zsphere setup you have then go to “Rigging” then select the mesh you made. Then in this case you can “Bind” the mesh and press “A” to go back and forth between sculpting and rotating Zspheres…
