Posing character in environment using Transpose Master

Hi guys!

Ok, I’ve finished my character and now I want to pose him in the environment. However, when I use transpose master is does the trick but then puts the character in his own scene. I tried appending that model to the scene so I could make sure it’s interacting properly, but when I go to hit TPose>SubtT it asks me to load the file.

Not sure what the proper workflow is on this to really make a TPoseMesh interact with the environment and then split it back into parts again…

If you are (for example) posing a character seated on a chair you can temporarily append a copy of the chair to the TPoseMesh to help you pose the character:

  1. Create the combined mesh of your character by pressing Transpose Master:TPoseMesh. If the chair is one of the subtools hide it first so it is not included.
  2. Append the chair as a new subtool to the combined mesh.
  3. Pose the character so it is sitting on the chair.
  4. Delete the chair subtool. This is important for the pose transfer to work.
  5. Press Transpose Master:TPose>SubT. The pose will be transferred to the original subtools.
  6. If necessary, append the chair as a new subtool to the character subtools.
