poseable symmetry not working on even simple mesh from zspheres?

Greetings,

I cannot get poseable symmetry to activate for simple base meshes created from zspheres.

I created one base zshere and then used symmetry and created one zsphere on each side across the x-axis.

Made adaptive skin and cnverted it to polymesh.

Cleared the document and plaxced he ztool and went into 3d edit mode.

Subdiveded twice and then went to transform, activated symmetry across x axis and mirror symmetry is on.

Press use poseable symmetry and i always get a “0.003 something symmetry found and map not stored” message.

loading a ztool like demo head works fine, so I dont know what is happening.

Anything I create with zspheres and converted to mesh cannot use poseable symmetry.

Kindly help, thanks.

Does your mesh have a clear center line? Or is it actually a row of polygons following the center, with the edges on either side of the actual center?

I have made a simple human form using zspheres, nothing spectacular, the one you see in many tutorials.

I have tried both. The one having lines on either side of the actual centre and also exporting this mesh into Lightwave to create the actual centre line.

Both types of meshes do not work.

OK. solved the problem by adding zsphere knee cap so that z-axis symmetry is broken which then allowed poseable symmetry to work.
