Poseable 2-Form Mesh

I am learning Z-Brush. I’m aware of Z-Classroom and I’m watching a few tutorial videos on YouTube. However, I need to know if something is possible.

Basically, I’m trying to make Transformers. So they would have a robot mode and a vehicle mode, and need to look right and fit together properly in both modes.

So I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a mesh, pose it, then in a timeline or through a button give it another pose while keeping the same mesh and ability to edit. So I could, for instance, lengthen a door and then transform it and make the other parts of the mesh fit together with that.

Is it possible to rapidly change between 2 poses while still maintaining the ability to edit the mesh? Any hints as to how to accomplish this? I can dig through relevant tutorials myself; I just need to know if it’s possible.
