More work on the texturing of the character

For this model I’m being payed to develop him, the character’s name is Thock, the client has
allowed me to show the process of the creation of the model on forums so this is why I’m
posting it here.

The Model is not done yet as the design will include an double headed Axe and upper armor and a tattoo,
but I think the this parts I have done look rather good as they are right now.
I’m using Blender and Cycles to render him and the modeling is a mixture of Zbrush and
Blender in Equal parts.

The skin shader I’m using is this one:

and for the non skin parts I’m making my own materials with the help of this video tutorials that
to be honest I think are the very best ones around to understand cycles and how to render something
in general:

Let me know what you guys think so far, I will keep trying to make the best I can for this project.
The next parts I will make are the leather parts of the upper armor, stay tuned and thanks for watching!

you’ve got some nice works in your gallery.I especially like that mage. This one’s looking good so far, although you need to put more time on his torso. It looks a bit flat.I think his pecks & abs should be more defined.Sorry I’m not an anatomy expert myself. but anyway keep up the good work.;)

Thanks a lot Diablo, I moved on from this sculpt but I do appreciate the input about the chest and abs areas, next time around I will make sure to make the forms read nicer and fuller.

The final end result for this was to make some promotional pieces for the book this author was making, so this is what the renders ended up looking after some post processing in Photoshop.

The renders were done with Cycles in Blender.
