polysphere in zbrush 2?

I don’t have an Intel based mac (and have no intention to upgrade for a while) so I am stuck on Zbrush 2. Is the polyshere from 3 also available in 2? I’m reading tutorials requiring the polysphere, and I’d really like to use it.

Incidentally, if anyone can confirm that Zbrush 3 for mac will work on a Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5, then I will just upgrade to 3 and this question will be mute.

make a sphere primitive, then hit make polymesh 3d.

Yeah, that will make a polymesh sphere, but not the same one available at the 3.0 startup page. That one has a completely different topology, if you look at the wireframe. It’s wireframe seems more like a cube’s.

I’ll assume the ready-made, startup models from 3.0 are just not available for 2, unless it’s a tool that is allowed to be shared.

Thanks anyway.

The file can be exported from Z3 as an OBJ and then imported into Z2. The problem is that even zipped the OBJ is over 700K and so can’t be uploaded here. If you provide your email address I can send it to you – provided your client/ISP will accept attachments that size.

That would be fantastic, and greatly appreciated! My email address is:
