Polys exploding

Hi there!

So here’s the problem: I was sculpting on a model in ZBrush, then the client needed changes where I had to do some toplological changes, meaning that I had to delete a small portion of the model, and make some cuts. So far, so good. Now, I GoZ-ed it back into Zbrush and it asked me if I want to transfer the higher res details to the new model. Naturally I clicked Yes. Now, it looks great at the lower levels. However, when I go to the higher levels, certain parts of the model starts exploding. I can smooth it out, but the problems keeps coming when I go up and down in Sub-D levels.

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Also, there’s another problem: The model is dark, almost like masking is active. However, no parts are masked, I have it selected (so it’s not caused by having a small subtool active), and the FG colour is set to white. I have no explanation for this.
