Polypainting Trouble [Solved]

I’m trying to paint some high-contrast RGB areas on my mesh in order to turn them into polygroups. I’m using the Layer brush, as the tutorial said, in order to keep the edges sharp and the noise to a minimum. (I used the Standard brush on my first attempt with disastrous results). But I keep getting this weird stuttering effect when I try to brush the color on. It’s as though each new dot I’m painting is being added with a ring of the surrounding color around it. What am I doing wrong?

Try changing your brush stroke to freehand or adjust the focal shift.

Brilliant! I had tried switching to freehand to no avail, but adjusting the focal shift did the trick. Thank you very much! :smiley:
