Polypainting tools

I have layed down nice color on my model and now I discovered a problem. I would like to make it brighter in some parts. Are in the ZBrush polypaint, tools similar to these in Photoshop (dodge and burn)?

I have quite complicated patterns on the model and remaking it would take me significant amount of time.

The only option I can think of is create a texture of this polypainting and then edit it in photoshop, but these is just a way around the problem.

There are a couple of 2.5 D brushes that might help, like the Highlighter Brush or Contrast Brush. You access these by dropping into Projection Master (in case you didn’t know). Apparently you can also modify “custom filters”, I don’t know how to do that but I’m sure someone here does…

Or like you said you could adjust the polypainted map in ps after you are done in zb. This is what I usually do at some stage anyway.

Good luck vertexfusion.

This is the way to go Trist! Thank you very much for your helpful tip. Now I can adjust my polypaint on the model before even exporting any textures, this is exactly what I was looking for! Of course I’ll be making some final adjustments in Photoshop on the textures itself.

have already went through so many tutorials, some of them even about Projection Master and I didn’t even think about using it this way, I still have much to learn…

Thanks Again Trist!
