Polypainting question

Hello, when I’ve got a model that I’ve been working on that has tall, thin ears - when I try to poly pain the interior of the ears, there’s a kind of bleed effect where the colour that I paint on the interior is also painted on the exterior of the ear - I only want one side of the thin ears coloured. When I try masking this way both sides of the ears get masked. Is there any way to polypaint directly where my cursor is, without the colour seeping through to the other side?

Another way to put it is if there is a thin cardboard-like mesh in ZBrush, when I paint one side of the mesh, the otherside bleeds in some of the colour painted on its opposite side.

Any way to stop this from happening? Thanks in advance!

Go into the brush menu palette and in the Auto Masking subsection, turn on backface masking before painting thin areas.
