I’m running Zbrush 3.12b on my mac pro, and I’ve run into an issue with the polypainting feature.
I’m moving through the video tutorials in Zclass, and have begun trying to paint on a 3D polymesh. The tutorial tells to use the color settings in the toolbar to fill the object to the desired color, while the model is in mrgb.
What I’m finding is that the material automatically changes without any filling, or toolbar work. The model’s material and color shifts as I use my cursor on the left colorbox to decide.
It concerns me because that varies from the steps in the Polypaint tutorial video.
It seemed convenient at first, if inconsistent, but then I realized I also cannot paint on my model because every time I try to
choose my color/material (making sure I’ve turning off Zadd/Zsub) the entire model immediately shifts to that state.
I feel like I’m missing something very basic here, but I’ve gone over the polypaint tutorial and it’s just not jiving with those steps.
