PolyPainting 'Bake' issue

Hi All

I have a problem when creating/using the polypaint to texture command.

When I use spotlight to paint my textures etc its all real nice, but when I come to do the actual ‘bake’ it creates the newly painted texture to one half of the head model.

Its as if the models faces or the uvs are flipped - they arent. The model itself was created and uv’d in Maya. Everything is fine in Maya. I have checked the model 3 times and still no joy

However if I redo the uvs using projection master its fine I dont have this problem, but I cant be redoing uv’s everytime I make a model (who would!)

if anyone has any thoughts please let me know

many thanks

Jay

how are you redoing uvs in projection master?

Are all of your islands within 0-1 UV space?
Can you post up images of the problems you’re having?

Beta Channel

sure here you go. The first face is the poly painted, then the uv map from Maya and then the polypaint to textured head (problem)

ZBrush doesn’t like the islands touching the edge of the UV map for some reason. It looks like yours are. Take it back to Maya and move or scale the UV islands in from the edge just a touch and try it again.

will do cheers Zber2
