Hide or mask it. You could also try backside masking.
there is no other way to paint on just the surface where i am actually making the brush strokes because it also does it with masking sometimes
if you can mask off the section then you can make it invisible. that should do it.
but sometimes it’s like painting one side of a paper towel, it’s just not possible. depends really.
Mesh needs enough density to support the paint, we have a vague description, no image… Is the model “thin”? Workaround possibly, paint it all the color/material you want the “difficult” part to be and then paint the other parts where you have more control. If it’s hidden or masked, it doesn’t paint. HTH
