Polypaint to texture problem

Hi guys,

I did a model on Maya 2011 and I'm trying to use ZB4 to texture but I got the problems when I turn polypaint to texture. My polypaint looks good on model but i got a distortion when extract it. You can see the eye texture exemple in the pictures down. Polypaint looks right with iris rounded but the extracted texture looks follow the edge model causing distortion. what do your UV’s look like?

I’ve also never seen an unwrap of an eyeball that way. Is there any reason you’re not just doing a planar projection along the pupil normal?

Hope it help. The reason is that I did not do the uv’s but someone else. The problem is repeated throughout the model.

looks like a smooth UV’s problem.

Go to your lowest subD level.
Turn off smt UV’s and then step up to your highest and do another texture from polypaint and see if that does the trick.
