Polypaint - Solid Colors

Hi.

I’m polypainting on a sphere but I can’t seem to get a really, solid black. It’s not much darker than grey. The sphere is a PolyMesh3D made from a primitive and I’m using the Standard Brush with the FreeHand Stroke. I have RGB turned on at full intensity. Zadd and Zsub are off. Focal shift is ‘0’. Colorize is turned on and UV’s are turned off. The sphere is filled with the Toy Plastic material and with white color. The sphere has 4 levels of subdivision (about 2 million polys). I’m able to paint, but I can’t get solid colors.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Could you show what you’re getting?

How fast are you moving the cursor? The faster it moves, the less that happens at each point along the stroke.

Hi, Aurick.

I think it’s alright now. There must have been something wrong with my model because I rebuilt it from scratch and I don’t have the problem anymore.

I want to make a lens cap, a separate corneal object to sit on the iris. What sort of attributes can I assign to this subtool so that it is properly refractive, transparent and caustic?

Thanks!
