Polypaint Resolution Question

Hi everyone! I have a quick question, is there any way to raise the resolution of the texture size when bringing your Color to Texture from a polypaint? It always defaults to 1024x1024 even if I create the texture 2048 or 4096. I’ve also tried to paint on different resolution meshes to test if it was the density of the model, 1million or 7million it still defaults to 1024. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

you have to have “RGB” ON when hiting “color to texture”, it will work on any size then

thanks for the response Fabricio, I’m a huge fan of your work! I have RGB on, i might be doing something wrong in the process. Tell me if this sounds okay to you:

  1. New Texture 4096x4096
  2. Texture to Color (RGB ON)
  3. Polypaint
  4. Color to Texture (RGB ON)
  5. Texture size is 1024x1024

when you start poly painting, you ‘turn off’ the texture automaticaly, that’s why you getting the error, because you’re creating a new texture (1024x1024 by default) each time.
Before going “color>texture” you have to reselect the texture you just created, THEN hit the button. Try it. Should work
