Polypaint Question

scar.jpg

Hi, just learning Polypaint and I have run across a situaton I can’t figure out.

I masked out the fleshy scar area and I want to paint the light green color so it comes to the very edge of the scar and covers over the light blue vein color. I used the Color Picker to choose the same light green color but when I paint it the color looks different than the original and doesn’t match. What else can I do to get the color to match the lower green area?

Is there a way to “Clone” the color/texture from the area I want and paint it in around the scar?

Thanks

There’s a difference between shaded color (what you see) and unshaded color (what the rendering engine sees). What you see is the product of color plus material.

ZBrush can sample either shaded or unshaded color from the canvas. To sample unshaded color (the color before materials and shading are involved) press C or drag from the color swatch onto the canvas. To sample shaded color (the color you’re actually seeing), drag from the color swatch so you get the Picker, then hold Alt until you release the mouse.
