Hi everyone. I was trying to research, what does it mean when you switch your polypaint mode to the number 2, which is colorize. I couldn’t find it anywhere and decide to post it here, There are 5 different modes, which I have an idea of what they do, but I’m not sure what colorize does when I polypaint. I honestly don’t see a difference from the standard one. I thank anyone who can help me with this matter.
I apologize in advance if this comes as a duplicate posting. I though I hit “submit” but it disappeared!
“Colorize” filters any shading/tinting influence that is not the pure color of the color you pick. So a tint of pink will still appear be pink (small amount of red), but so will a dark “shade” of red made up of equal percentage of red (any small percent of amount of red- comes out pink). Again, you just getting the percentage of the hue in your color selected.
When testing stay away from the very black end of the spectrum. Pure black is still “black” even it’s in the red palette (for example) on the lower left.
thank you nancyan.
