Polypaint in Uv Layout with morph UVs??

Hi there,

Is there any way we cant polypaint while in Morph UV mode, that is, by looking at the uv layout.

I’m trying to paint some stripes into a deformed tshirt (imagine a tshirt in a fat belly, getting stretched and not covering the whole belly. Paiting “non distorted” lines in this geo will be very hard, and i’m not figuring out any easier ideas. The morph uv seemd a nice one to try.

Thanks

No answer here, but I’d also like to know if there’s away to do this!

I wanted to use spotlight to paint some wood texture on a model. I figured that you can paint and it’s much better controlled to paint on the morphed UVs, but it disappears once you morph them back!

Yes, that’s exactly what happens. I suppose that you can paint in that mode, but instead of going back, somehow try to save that as a texture, and then import it to non flattened model.

In my case, it was faster to just store a morph target, then stretch the tshirt as if i ironed it , paint the lines correctly, and going back to the original model.

Maybe someone can help out here, it would be great.!
