It seems that I can no longer transfer my polypainting from the basic 3d meshes provided in the tool palette onto a texture for exporting. All I get is a blank white texture or a texture filled with just one of the colors I painted with or if I “polypaint from texture” the texture is just a blended single color of the texture I painted from despite my having subdivided the mesh up 5 levels.
I’ve had no problems polypainting in the 3.5 or previous versions of of Zbrush and have not yet deleted 3.5 so I’ve tested this problem “side by side” with version 4.
Also, In version 4 if I change the UV’s using the UVmaster plug in then the polypaint transfers, but I REALLY need the original uv set up on these base meshes.
I also tried importing a sphere from modo that I uv’d in an even grid, but Zbrush just doesn’t seem to accept this even grid any longer.
Can anyone please explain what’s changed about Zbrush to make this not possible…or perhaps its a bug that only I’m experiencing. Thanks in advance for any insight/help with this.
