Polygroups on the fly

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was a function of some sort that I don’t know about that can allow either masking or polygroup creation on the fly while sculpting. So for example, say Im sculpting a few random stitches or warts on a skin or something but I want those to be their own polygroup, but not necessarily their own subtools or insert mesh brushes.

Just wondering if there’s a feature or technique to allow sculpting and masking simultaneously; or sculpting and poly group creation at the same time versus having those functions split into 2 different steps?

you can fill your subtool with a color and further sculpt on it with another. then use the “From Polypaint” button in the Polygroups sub palette to create the polygroups.

if your workflow is using keyshot as render, then you can fill material on your subtool and sculpt on it with a brush set on another material. so example fill your subtool with SkinShade4 and then use the Stitch brush with ToyPlastic. Keyshot would be able to split the subtool based on the materials.
