Polygroups lost with retopologizing

I don’t know if I’ve lost some steps, but when I retopologize my tool and create a new adaptive skin, previously defined polygroups are lost. Any way to mantain those with the new skin ?

nope…gotta make new ones

I assume that the new retopologized mesh will need new UVs then as well, correct?

Polygroup was created based on the mesh.

Since you created the new one, they won`t have any assigned to them.
