Polygroup issue when I run decimation master!

The problem I’m having is that my model has a number of polygroups and when I run the decimation master it seems to lose the original polygroup information and turn my mesh into one grouped mesh. I have tried running auto groups again, but it just crashes every time. Are there any solutions to this problem? Why does running decimation master lose the polygroup info?

Does anyone know? Or am I to assume this is yet another one of the many issues with z-brush?

OS and ZBrush version are helpful.

Can try this:
-Duplicate Original Mesh
-Polypaint> Polypaint From Polygroups
-Preferences>DecimationMaster>Use and Keep Polypaint
-Decimate the model
-Polygroups From Polypaint

Other Option if have subdivisions…
-Duplicate Original Mesh
-UVmaster>Polygroups active> Unwrap
-Copy UV
-Paste on the model youwant to decimate
-DecimationMaster> Keep Uv
-Decimated Model> Polygroups>Auto Groups With UV

Probably many more solutions out there
