Polar Array? (answered)

Any ideas or solutions on how to create a polar array in 4.0? (For a tool, not with radial symmetry or shadow box).

Thanks

JM

Yes, you can use ZSpheres:

  1. Select the ZSphere.
  2. Activate Symmetry in the Transform palette and turn on radial symmetry by pressing Transform>®. Set the slider to your requirements.
  3. Add a new ZSphere which will be repeated radially around the root zsphere.
  4. Turn on Tool>Adaptive Skin>Use Classic Skinning
  5. Make sure one of the outer ZSpheres is selected (use Move mode to select). In Draw mode, press Tool>Adaptive Skin>Insert Local Mesh. Select the mesh you wish to use for the array.
  6. You can create an adaptive skin of the array, then remove the center sphere by hiding and deleting.

Thanks Marcus, this will help tremendously.
