There are a few image plane plug-ins available for zbrush. One of them is on the Pixologic website in the downloads section. You should work in orthographic mode (turn perspective off) when you’re working from image planes. Once you’re done with the planes, feel free to toggle perspective on and off as needed. You can change the focal length of the perspective mode in zbrush under the Draw pallet. In Max, focal length can be adjusted in the camera parameters. Max calls this field Lens, not focal length. Focal length is measured in mm, so a 35mm lens has a focal length of 35mm.

is there any diff. between <image plane x> and <image plane 3.1>
