Please reconsider Academic/Indie Licensing

Hello,

I am interested to buy ZBrush, however, $800 is to much for me right now. And risky in same time. I don’t know if I will like the product or I will be able to make any money with it:)

So, I’ve been looking for academic license, and from almost all stores listen only a few sell academic license in Europe, for 430 Euro, and that’s about $500. Still unacceptable for an academic price, considering the full price is $795.

Please reconsider the price for learning.
Please make a price for Indie also (if you do less that $xxx per year, the price is …) like many other vendors do.
And please sell those licenses on Pixologic official site and not other sites.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on different forums from peoples who bought ZBrush with $100 at early version and how happy they are because they receive free updates. What about new users?

Thanks for reading!

If you do actually(and sincerely) try it, you’ll surely fall in love with it.
As for making money, perhaps if you find the right niche.

There is no free trial so I can’t try it.

On different forums, the opinions are split, so I can’t say anything about liking or not until I don’t try it myself.

Also to be on topic, I’ve been watching the site last month for an end of the year major discount, nothing:(

You may want to keep watch on the forums in case anyone is looking to sell their license. They tend to keep their value but someone may be wanting a reasonable price for a quick sale
There is a license transfer cost https://support.pixologic.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/60/0/license-transfers

Thanks for suggestion, I will keep an eye on that:)

I also hope Pixologic staff will read this and make a decision about it, personally I think they are losing a big chunk of customers, but that’s just an opinion of course.
