Please Help! ZBrush created UV Maps not importing into Lightwave

Hi everyone… new to the forums… and… for the LIFE of me, I can’t seem to get a UV Map to export from ZBrush and import into Lightwave properly. Process:

  1. Simple tool (like a sphere, etc.)
  2. Create UV Map using UV Master or UV Map panel.
  3. Apply texture (from polypaint)
  4. Export to OBJ
  5. in Lightwave, import from OBJ.
  6. Texture loads ok, mesh loads OK, but the texture isn’t stretched around like it should. I tried flipping along each axis from within ZBrush settings and no dice, so it’s not about flip. I looked at the UV view in Lightwave and it’s COMPLETELY EMPTY. Nada. NO DATA. It’s like it just won’t import the UV data at all. Weird.

I did some searching online and it seems the best way to get a ZBrush made UV into Ligthwave is with the ZWave plugin. However, the site that once had that is defunct. How do I do this?? I am so terribly lost, thanks for your patient answers.

NEVER mind… a friend of mine helped me out… it WAS the flip, and some other stupid thing I forgot in lightwave. Apparently, you have to flip the texture data itself, not via options in ZBrush, but after it’s been generated. Very weird, but now that I know, I’m good  Thanks anyway everyone
