Please help..Transpose problems & workflow issues.

I have a question to anyone who may be able to help.

It revolves around using transpose tools.
I have tried all possible ways, from simply using transpose tools to using transpose master and rigging with Zspheres.
However, nothing I do works and the end result is unacceptable warpage that cannot be fixed. I use both hard masking and soft to no avail. (Example: attempting to turn a head leads to character nearly getting decapitated.)
I figure my subdivisions are too high for rigging or for posing. Zsphere rigging with high subD levels is impossible, tpose posing leads to warpage.

Herein is where my biggest problem lies. You see, let’s say I make a character, and I create all the major anatomical landmarks first, then once everything “seems” to look right I can then up the subdivision level and begin on detailing the mesh.
Problem is that some things do not seem to work with multiple subdivisions in zbrush. Now there may be something I’m missing here and indeed one can make these things work somehow, if so I haven’t found them yet.

So if I am attempting to fix something or modify something even small, and select it then try to “delete hidden” this will not work with subdivisions. Or if while detailing I want to use an insert brush, this will not work with subdivisions, so I have to make a choice. Delete lower or delete higher. Deleting lower , I lose all my detail and perhaps the mesh will not look as decent as an insert brush causing a detail mismatch and time loss detailing.

OR

I could delete higher but then I have no lower resolution to drop to for posing which will cause sever transpose warpage.

My typical workflow is like this.

Make polymesh 3d (whatever it is) then dynamesh at around 16. Push and pull establish overall basic shape, dynameshing at around the same level until I have the basic form. Dynamesh a little higher add some more detail.

I do this until I’m pretty happy with the overall form then I hit Subdivide and begin the detail moving from one subdivision level to the next everytime Im happy with the basic.

Sometimes problems occur that I cant fix with subdivisions enabled leading to the problems mentioned above when it comes time to pose.

If flaws are found in my workflow please advise me to something better.
If you can tell me how to work around my problem in posing, it will be very much appreciated as I cannot find information anywhere.

If you have specific questions about my process in order to assist me I’ll respond ASAP.

Thanks so much.

You can use these alternative options, depending of the case:
Use freeze subdivisions
Or go to the higher subdivision, delete lower and then reconstruct subdivisions, as long you have not changed the topology
Or work in a copy without subdivisions, for example for insert mesh.

In general I need to agree that these limitations are uncomfortable but there are workarounds.
