Please help! Make a ultimate head before NewYear!

Cam on folks, give a young man a hand. XD :smiley:

Firstly, i would like to confirm that i have basic skills in ZBrush & Maya but not very advance in leading me to wishful things.

So i would need YOUR help, to suggest me which tutorials out there, that can lead me in making something similer to one 3d artest piece that has inspired me.

This 3d artest name is Fausto De Martini.
He’s an absolute insperation; a guy from brazil, who now works for Blizzard -
(who are making loads of bucks, espiacially from TODAY!!!)

I’ll show you this one piece he did last year or two;

I have my designs on paper, i know how to draw very well,
now i just need some understanding in making good 3d modelling.
I am looking forward in making one myself right before New Years Day;
i’d promised alot of people that i’ll do one… if i can :smiley:

I’m a NOOB in 3d modelling so please folks, your my only hope.

Please recommend me a tutorial, that can help me make this wish come true praying

p.s here’s my latest piece;

practice, practice, practice.

There isn’t really a tutorial that can teach you everything you need to know about sculpting, the human face, anatomy, or anything else for that matter.

If you’d like a good book you can pick up scott spencers book on Zbrush.
Check out all of the links in Auricks signiture
check out NickZ’s website
cannedmushrooms has a ton of tutorials
check out Pixologics website
look over the zbrush wiki
get a subscription to 3dworld or 3dtotal
digital tutors and gnomen have good videos on how to sculpt in zbrush.

then practice, practice, practice.

Do a 30min to 1hr sculpture EVERY DAY. longer if you have time or are just feeling inspired.

then practice, practice, practice

I know this really isn’t the reply you wanted to hear, but this is an art, not a science

You mean you haven’t found the ‘Make Awesome Model’ button yet??
It’s right next to the Fausto-quality-level slider in the Tool Menu. Set that slider anywhere from 1-10 (depending on how good you want your model to be) and hit that button as hard as you can. And then,… Presto instant success to impress your friends! :lol:

All kidding aside… Goast666 said it already. Tons of practice/hard work, dedication and a healthy degree of natural talent mixed together for years is the only way to become a digital artist of Fausto’s level. No tutorial on earth will do this for you. It’s like asking for that secret protein shake that’ll transform you from anorexic Andrew to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
