Wow! Your work is truly inspiring… I noticed how ridiculously low poly your base meshes come out of Silo; and was wondering how many, at a close estimate, on average they have when considered a finished sculpt. Again, your work is awesome, keep it up!

Airhendrix - it really depends on the character but the models tend to end up somewhere in the 500,000 to 1 million range. Sometimes a model will go into the 2million range if it’s really bizarre body typed. I’ve not done a lot of HD geometry work as of yet - I think two models - and in those cases they weren’t higher than 4 or 5 million polys. I’m on a 32 bit os with 3 gigs of ram right now.

Moonlitmaverick, click on the Uncharted 2 thumbnail in the top row. The image used in the matcap is on the second page 2 I think. There’s also a link in that thread that should take you to a tutorial on how to use the image.

Here’s the Dregon figure I created using ZBrush, Silo and Modo. It was created as a character to be included in Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012 - we finally shipped on Sept. 20th (same day as ZBrush 4R2!). ZBrush was used for detailing, texturing and map extraction and morph creation. The actual fully rigged figure is around 18,000 polys (it’s actually less, I’m rounding up).
